Status of Code Application and Maintenance Program (CAMP) Activities in Canada

The presentation provides an update of Code Applications and Maintenance Program (CAMP) activities for the period between the fall 2015 CAMP meeting in Gettysburg (U.S.) and the spring 2016 CAMP meeting in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Additionally, the presentation will include a brief description of the role of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) as a regulator, as well as the organization's 70th anniversary. The presentation will also include a description of the recent application of the TRAC/RELAP Advanced Computational Engine (TRACE) code as an independent assessment tool for examination of safety case for research reactors. Also discussed in detail will be the experience gained from this activity, particularly in areas related to testing TRACE code 3D capabilities, numerical method options, code numerical stability, and 3D vessel nodalization options.
