Summary

REGDOC-2.6.1, Reliability Programs for Nuclear Power Plants, sets out the requirements and guidance for the development and implementation of a reliability program for a nuclear power plant in Canada. The essential elements of a reliability program, including reliability assessment, modelling, evaluation and monitoring, are also described in this document. This document supersedes RD/GD-98, Reliability Programs for Nuclear Power Plants, published in June 2012, and includes the following updated information:

  • new title
  • new cover and inside cover
  • updated references (where appropriate)
  • new back page showing the CNSC’s regulatory document series
