Order issued to Certified Testing Systems (2009) Inc.

The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) has issued an order to Certified Testing Systems (2009) Inc., located at 622 Trillium Drive, Kitchener, Ontario, following an inspection conducted on March 19, 2026, which identified non-compliance with security requirements. An order related to deficiencies in the licensee’s security program was issued at the conclusion of the inspection; however, the licensee subsequently failed to meet required response deadlines and did not provide acceptable corrective actions.

Effective April 21, 2026, Certified Testing Systems (2009) Inc. is required to immediately return all nuclear substances and radiation devices to secure storage and is prohibited from using, transferring or importing nuclear substances or radiation devices until acceptable corrective actions have been submitted to and accepted by the CNSC. The order reflects the licensee’s continued non-compliance, insufficient corrective action responses, and inadequate capacity to maintain effective control of its security program.
