Point Lepreau licence renewal webinar
Join us on March 2, 2022 for a webinar on a licence renewal application for the Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station, operated by New Brunswick Power (NB Power).
This webinar will provide information about the application from NB Power to renew its nuclear facility operating licence for the Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station. The webinar follows Part 1 of the public Commission hearing, held on January 26, 2022, and precedes Part 2 which will be held on May 11-12, 2022.
The purpose of this webinar is to:
- provide information on NB Power’s renewal application
- deliver a brief summary of the CNSC staff recommendation to the Commission
- explain how the public, Indigenous Nations and communities, and potential intervenors can participate in Part 2 hearing on May 11-12, 2022
