Summary

REGDOC-1.1.1, Site Evaluation and Site Preparation for New Reactor Facilities, addresses site preparation and site evaluation for new reactor facilities. Its content covers the suitability of a site for constructing and operating a nuclear power plant or small reactor. It also sets out the requirements and guidance for a licence to prepare site.

Once the Commission has granted a licence, the safety and control measures described in the licence application and the documents needed to support those safety and control measures will form part of the licensing basis.
