April 17 – Keynote address by President Pierre Tremblay at the Canadian Nuclear Association annual conference

On April 17, 2025, Pierre Tremblay, CNSC President and CEO, delivered a keynote address at the Canadian Nuclear Association annual conference and tradeshow. His remarks spoke to the CNSC’s key areas of focus, including overseeing the continued safe operation of Canada’s existing nuclear fleet, working to ensure readiness to regulate new nuclear projects, furthering engagement efforts, and strengthening trust with all people in Canada.

March 6 – Presentation by CNSC President and CEO to Ontario Power Generation’s Board of Directors

On March 6, 2025, CNSC President and CEO Pierre Tremblay delivered a presentation to the Ontario Power Generation Board of Directors. President Tremblay spoke about the CNSC’s mandate, the Commission, and areas of focus, including oversight of the existing fleet, readiness of new nuclear projects, regulatory efficiency, Indigenous engagement, and capacity building.
