Forum between the CNSC and Canadian Environmental Non-Governmental Organizations

The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and the Environmental Non-Governmental Organizations (ENGO) Forum was re-established in 2020 to advance the work from previous collaborations between the CNSC and civil society organizations. Its members meet on a quarterly basis.

About the Forum

The Forum is an opportunity for the CNSC and ENGOs to come together, independently of formal regulatory proceedings and comment periods, to exchange information on issues of mutual interest. It provides ENGO members access to CNSC staff that is equal to other stakeholders and interest groups. The Forum aims to improve the functionality, accountability and effectiveness of CNSC’s work in collaboration with ENGOs.
