The University of Alberta (U of A) was licensed to operate the Slowpoke-2 Research Reactor, located in Edmonton, AB. In May 2018, the Commission revoked the U of A’s decommissioning licence and issued a licence to abandon, authorizing the release of this facility from CNSC regulatory control.
