Webinar: Pickering Nuclear Generating Station and Pickering Waste Management Facility

Join us on April 15 for a public webinar on Ontario Power Generation’s (OPG’s) application to renew the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station (PNGS) and Pickering Waste Management Facility (PWMF) operating licences and authorize the refurbishment of Units 5 to 8.

This information session will provide a high-level overview, intended to help the public understand the role of the regulator and the application currently under review. It will outline the CNSC’s review process, explain how the hearing will be conducted, and highlight opportunities for participation. A brief opportunity to ask questions will follow.

We welcome all members of the public interested in learning more about the project and the CNSC’s oversight.

The purpose of this webinar is to:

• familiarize the public with the PNGS and PWMF
• discuss the CNSC’s licensing process
• discuss OPG’s licence application
• answer questions from members of the public
