File a complaint
You can file a complaint if you have concerns about activities or facilities regulated by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) or the behaviour of CNSC staff.
The CNSC is committed to protecting the health, safety and security of Canadians and the environment. We use the complaint process to address issues within our regulatory mandate, including, but not limited to:
- activities and facilities, such as the design, construction, operation, maintenance and safety measures of nuclear power plants
- workplaces that discourage reporting safety issues or other concerns related to regulated matters
- misconduct by CNSC staff
How complaints are handled
The Office of Values and Ethics (OVE) reviews complaints independently to ensure fairness and neutrality. The OVE works with CNSC staff to follow up appropriately.
Refer to respectful communication for guidance on how to communicate with our staff.
