Regulatory Action – Order issued to 2352767 Ontario Inc. (North York Diagnostic and Cardiac Centre)
March 20, 2025
The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) issued an order on March 20, 2025, to 2352767 Ontario Ltd., operating as North York Diagnostic and Cardiac Centre and based in North York, Ontario. The company holds a CNSC licence for the possession, transfer, import, export, use and storage of nuclear substances and prescribed equipment for diagnostic nuclear medicine.
The order was issued following concerns about the lack of responsiveness from licensee representatives in addressing the outstanding actions noted during the June 2024 licence renewal application and items of non-compliance from a September 2024 inspection in a timely manner. The order requires the licensee to transfer all nuclear substances and radiation devices in its possession, and to decommission the licensed location at 250 Marlee Avenue, North York, Ontario, by April 17, 2025.
Order replaced by the Commission
April 11, 2025
The Commission has reviewed the order, as required under the Nuclear Safety and Control Act (NSCA) and has replaced it. The Commission considered the information in the order, as well as submissions by the designated officer and the licensee.
The replaced order will be in place until the licensee complies with the actions in the replaced order.
