Order issued to Groupe ABS

The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) issued an order on September 29, 2023, to Groupe ABS Inc. The company holds a licence for the possession, transfer, import, use and storage of portable nuclear gauges and is based in St-Rémi, Quebec.
The order was issued during a field inspection at a construction site in La Conception, Quebec. The order prohibits a worker from using the portable gauges listed on the licence until the licensee can demonstrate, to the CNSC’s satisfaction, that this worker can work safely and securely.
