Current status
Open
Consultation period

Description
The Regional Information and Monitoring Network (RIMNet) is an initiative by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) to enhance information sharing and document the environmental aspects of nuclear facilities and activities in the Ottawa River / Kichi Sibi watershed. By centralizing resources, RIMNet aims to increase transparency, build public confidence and foster trust. It is independent and not linked to any specific nuclear project or activity.
The CNSC and ECCC are asking for feedback on the RIMNet Phase I report, which provides the background on the initiative, the methodology for and results from the literature review, and an overview of next steps.
