Description

REGDOC-2.13.2, Import and Export, is part of the CNSC's safeguards and non-proliferation series of regulatory documents, and covers regulatory controls on the import and export of controlled items and the export of risk-significant radioactive sealed sources.

The document sets out the CNSC’s requirements and guidance for anyone who intends to import or export nuclear and nuclear-related dual-use items, also known as controlled nuclear substances, equipment and information. These items are identified in the schedule to the Nuclear Non-proliferation Import and Export Control Regulations.

It also identifies requirements and guidance for anyone who intends to export risk-significant radioactive sealed sources (Category 1 and 2 radioactive sources). Lastly, it provides information on the CNSC’s activities to verify and enforce regulatory compliance with respect to CNSC‑regulated imports and exports.
