Professional biography
Aidan has worked at the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) since 2019. As a Senior Management System Specialist in the Management Systems Division, he supports the oversight of management system requirements for operating and new-build power reactor facilities, including Bruce Power and the Darlington New Nuclear Project. His work helps ensure that management systems are established and implemented in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Expertise and education
He is a licensed professional engineer in Ontario and holds a master’s degree in chemical and biochemical engineering from Western University. His background includes nuclear facility operations, radiation protection, safety analysis, inspections and compliance verification.
Roles and responsibilities
In his role, he reviews compliance with management system requirements that support the safe operation of operating and new-build power reactor facilities. This includes areas such as supply chain, problem identification and resolution, the management of information and work, and change control. His work supports nuclear facilities in maintaining management systems that help protect the public, workers and the environment.
