June 5, 2014: President Michael Binder appeared before the House Standing Committee on Natural Resources to discuss Bill C-22, Energy Safety and Security Act.
February 3, 2015: President Michael Binder and Mr. Robert Power, Senior Coordinator, Regulatory Affairs Branch, appeared before the Senate Standing Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources to discuss Bill C-22, Energy Safety and Security Act.

The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) was one of three departments that were included in the audit for this chapter. The CNSC was included in only one of the recommendations. The CNSC agreed with the recommendation, and outlined steps that had been, and will continue to be, taken to address it.
