The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) is a membership association serving industry, government, consumers and other interested parties in Canada and the global marketplace.

Standards touch the lives of Canadians every day, affecting nearly every product or service they use, from the kettle in the kitchen to the lights overhead. Standards can range from safety and quality requirements to efficiency or environmental practices.

Many CSA energy standards are national standards of Canada and are cited in both federal and provincial regulations. For example, CSA standards are used in licensing CANDU ™ nuclear plants, and many energy efficiency and fire safety standards are referenced in provincial regulations.

You can order standards and implementation tools such as handbooks, guidelines and “Smart Standards” from www.ShopCSA.ca.

View the list of nuclear energy standards at CSA’s online information products store.
