Summary

REGDOC-2.6.2, Maintenance Programs for Nuclear Power Plants, sets out the requirements and guidance for maintenance programs for nuclear power plants (NPPs) in Canada. An NPP maintenance program consists of policies, processes and procedures that provide direction for maintaining structures, systems and components of the plant. This document supersedes RD/GD-210, Maintenance Programs for Nuclear Power Plants, published in December 2012, and includes the following updated information:

  • new title
  • new cover and inside cover
  • updated references (where appropriate)
  • a sentence in the glossary pointing to REGDOC-3.6, Glossary of CNSC Terminology
  • new back page showing the CNSC’s regulatory document series

In addition to the administrative changes the following duplicated criterion was removed from the list in section 3.4.2:

  • "Parameter expectations should be provided to allow verification of correct operational states and to detect any abnormal conditions"
